GCG is a financial guaranty and reinsurance company specializing in municipal, corporate and asset-backed securities.
Key functions include protection against the risk of default on corporate and sovereign obligations through selected Corporate Agents and Professional Advisors authorised and contracted to refer business to us. GCG focuses on growing its credit swap portfolio at good risk adjusted returns while continuing to expand into asset management, credit-default swaps, and financial instruments based on bonds, initial public offers and loans that are used to speculate on the ability of companies or other borrowers to repay their debt. GCG underwrites and guarantees securities' transactions undertaking and providing parties to include lenders and or investors. In any event should the institutions fail to honor or adhere to their obligations the Group then settles the cash equivalent and this process is treated as any claim. GCG generates income from three sources: * Reinsuring, managing and acquiring large family and individual portfolios of insurance risk; * reinsuring and managing business and employee risk portfolios for insurance companies; and, * GCG acts as financial underwriters and guarantors, imparting advice and risk analysis to financial institutions, banks, mortgagors, insurers, hedge funds, private equity firms, companies and other investors to include national governments interested in insurance risks. |
